Is Artie gone for good?

Howard heard that Artie and Teddy were arguing in the halls about money so Howard brought it into the studio to try to get to the root of the problem. Well, things eventually went from bad to worse and Artie wound up attacking Teddy and trying to kill him. This lead Howard telling Artie that he wanted him to leave if he can't control his temper. Artie responded by saying that he can't be trusted, he's out of control and he wants to resign from the show. Artie than left and it became a big discussion in the studio. Howard, Robin and Fred were all bummed out about what happened and everyone agreed with Ralph that Artie shouldn't have left. This lead Benji to go out and look for Artie. Teddy came back in to say that he was bummed and wished that he never came in. He also said that he was still looking forward to going to Amsterdam and hoped that Artie would still go with them. Teddy feels bad for Artie and doesn't want to be the reason that Artie doesn't go to Amsterdam. Howard thinks that it might be better if Artie doesn't go to Amsterdam and best if he and Teddy part ways. The discussion of AJ's incident came up but Teddy stood up for Artie and said that Artie didn't hit him and only threw a cup of water at him. Howard was at a loss for words and didn't know how to resolve this problem and feels that it should be left in upper managements hands. The next topic was that someone should be with Artie right now because everyone is afraid of what Artie might do to himself. After a lengthy discussion, Howard decided to switch topics and go right into interviewing Jason Reitman. Although Howard tried to focus on Jason, the discussion remained about Artie including taking calls from listeners who all had very different opinions.
Poor Artie man. I really feel bad for the guy. He is spiraling out of control. Although I don't want Artie to leave the show, I think this might be the best thing for him right now. Artie needs to focus on himself for a while and get his head right.

I think Artie has officially reached the end of his rope -- everyone is so entertained in telling him what he should do that I'm sure he feels like he has no control over his life anymore. Between his agent pressing him to do gigs (knowing hat he can't say "no") from Robin relentlessly beating the drum on how he needs to lose weight (at the same time congratulating herself on how fit she is) he has pressure from every conceivable party.

Artie would do best to get away for a while. It was breaking my heart yesterday hearing him say how he could only go to Paris for a day so he could come back for a gig. Artie needs to wake up and realize that his agent works for him, not the other way around.

He would also do well to tell Howard, Fred and Robin to back off on his health issues instead of deflecting them through self-deprecating humor.

I'm sorry to admit, but I'm starting to dislike Artie. This week has been Howard essentially babysitting him. I'm the biggest Artie fan, but today was out of control.

Artie shouldn't have confronted Teddy in the hall or reprimand him in front of people. If he hadn't, it wouldn't have escalated. His temper is a joke too, everyone gets to the point that they want to hit someone, they just don't.

It's adding to Artie's unprofessional demeanor which seems to worse each day.

Artie will soon find out that he is nothing without the show and will be dead before the end of the year.

Well, inevitability's a motherfucker. Artie's been back on dope for some time now (falling asleep while sitting/ standing, violent mood swings, irrational behavior, incessant eating/ drinking to mask withdrawal symptoms). Hard drugs have once again cost him his J-O-B. I've seen many friends lose careers the same way. Bummer.

Why are savebabygorilla and SFN down? The censorship going on about this issue is unbelieveable!!

It's always depressing to see someone who is rich beyond most people's wildest dreams be unable to take care of himself.

The replay has been pulled and even more disturbing, they've shut down SFN. Why the fuck would they shut down SFN?? That reeks of.. I don't know what. It's the Stern FAN Network, not the official Stern site. I feel SFN has become too linked to the powers that be on the show to continue being a good place for the fans.
